Résumé : |
The following paper explores the relationship between the social media trends and the behaviour, productivity and engagement of employees that belong to Generation Z. The context of this problematic is going to be analysed using qualitative research and most specifically, semi-structured interviews. The research focuses on female participants with backgrounds in business administration, working in Human Resources. These participants share similar ages, ranging from 26 to 29 years old, and have accumulated 5-7 years of work experience. The research examines their perspectives as active social media users and their engagement in HR tasks, including recruitment, employer branding, and employee management. Additionally, the interviews investigate the challenges and opportunities posed by Generation Z employees in relation to social media usage. Finally, the findings vary in terms of the relationship of social media and Generation Z employees in the aspects of the problematic and suggest the need for HR departments to adapt their strategies and practices to effectively leverage social media for talent acquisition and engagement. |
