Packaging plays an important role in the purchase intentions, especially in the case of the wine, where quality cannot be fully assessed without tasting it. Wine consumers are very attached to traditions, and this could make them less open to new alternatives packaging. This paper examines if alternative packaging, such as canned wine could decrease
the purchase intention of millennials versus traditional packaging because of a low-quality perception and if wine knowledge could modify the perception of the quality in alternative packaging. |
