In today’s digital age, one cannot overlook the growing popularity of medical mobile applications specifically designed for Android users. Offering easy-to-use interfaces with access to relevant health information faster than ever before via smartphones or tablets - these innovations have created an opportunity to promote primary prevention by educating patients and improving self-management; however concerns over their impact upon overall healthcare quality remains disputed. This thorough literature review provides insight into key
patterns within the market for such applications whilst also analyzing both benefits as well as limitations present. An analysis of the medical category of 200 apps will be conducted to identify significant trends and map out challenges and opportunities prevalent in this fast- paced expanding market. It addresses key trends, challenges, and opportunities in this growing field, examining existing research, acceptability and adoption of medical apps, the role of personalization and interaction, and the quality and evaluation of these apps. The study will also focus on analyzing 200 apps in the medical category to identify key trends and map out the challenges and opportunities in this rapidly growing market. |
