Résumé : |
In 2021, Geoffrey Hinton said, “I believe that the rapid progress of AI is going to transform society in ways we do not fully understand and not all of the effects are going to be good,”. This thesis will aim to analyze in the most complete way possible the role, impacts, threats, and benefits of AI, on the environment.
To do so we will try to answer the following questions: How can AI help preserve the environment and contribute to a better world? What are the main dangers of AI? In the long term, how can AI help predict environmental dangers? To what extent can AI be beneficial to society as a whole without causing ethical issues? And lastly, how can society adapt to new ways of living? Considering all the above, this study will seek to provide a complete analysis on “Exploring the role of Artificial Intelligence with environmental sustainability: Opportunities and Challenges”. We will identify how environmental risks like pollution, climate change, and biodiversity loss can be tracked and managed with the use of Artificial Intelligence.
We first need to understand the concept of Artificial Intelligence. It is well-known as a branch of computer science that focuses on building smart machines that can carry out tasks that ordinarily call for human intelligence. To enable robots to see, learn, reason, and make decisions, artificial intelligence uses a variety of techniques, including machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision. |
