CSRRésumé : The impact of globalization on different companies around the world is enormous. With demand becoming more and more diverse, companies are faced with new realities since some customers want different product lines, some customers want a less expensive product, some customers want more sustainable products etc : the company must adjust the supply of raw materials, processing, handling and delivery to ensure the desired product to the customer. Indeed, the worst situation a company can suffer is customers buying from the competition, therefore everything is done with the goal of providing the product the customer wants, in the condition he expects since adapting to their
needs is the best way to build customer loyalty.Programme : MSc Supply Chain Management Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=564556

CSRRésumé : This study aims at establishing the reasons of the commitment in corporate social responsibility (CSR) of controversial companies , here the tobacco industry with essentially Philip Morris International, leader of the sector. Harm reduction has become a key component of the CSR strategy. The analysis covers especially the period since 2015 where PMI launched its new so-called “reduced risk products”: “I Quit On Smoking” (IQOS). The objective of this research is to identify to which extent Harm Reduction, included in the CSR policy, plays a key part in the comprehensive strategy of this tobacco manufacturer. Results suggest that tobacco industry’s CSR policy has two major components. On the one hand, it is dedicated to ensure short-term profitability with a trend of decrease in traditional cigarettes’ sales. On the other hand, it aims at recovering legitimacy and therefore weakening current regulation on tobacco products, thanks to harm reduction pledges. The quantitative analysis tends to show that since the new harm reduction strategy has been launched, CSR expenses are still profitable, but less than previously. Furthermore, a desk research on the French market illustrates that the communication on IQOS for Philip Morris International now accounts for almost 100% of its total communication in professional newspapers. The research results tend to indicate that the short-term profitability of PMI is guaranteed thanks to the success of IQOS products. However, it is too soon to conclude if the long-term regulation on tobacco products is jeopardized. A similar evaluation should be carried out in the following years. TRAVAIL A DISTANCE ; AVANTAGE COMPARATIFRésumé : Although many scholars have investigated the influence of corporate social responsibility on work meaningfulness, there has been relatively minimal research regarding the specific dimension of employee-oriented CSR on work meaningfulness. Moreover, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we observe an expansion of teleworking. Considering the research gaps and the emergence of new way of working , in the present research we examine why teleworking may reduce the positive benefits of CSR oriented employees on work meaningfulness. Therefore, we investigated the moderator role of teleworking and perceived organizational tasks support on this relationships. Utilizing survey-based data, this study analysed the responses of 111 employees working in different type of companies such as Saint-Gobain which is a multi-national firm and PMEs. Results showed that there is a positive relationships between employee-oriented CSR and work meaningfulness. However, the moderator roles of teleworking and perceived organizational telework task support have no impacts on the interactions between employee-oriented CSR and work meaningfulness. The findings suggest that employee-oriented CSR practices should be an important investment from the organization to foster work meaningfulness.
