Résumé : |
Returns are seen as a burden for most e-retailers as their volume is hardly predictable and their process cost is high. However, the returns are an important part of the customers'satisfaction and leads to its loyalty. This work focuses on the design of the return policies for apparel pure players in order to reduce cost. In particular, we study how the return policy that provides the largest profit to the firm depends on customer-delivery invoicing and the management of the facilities. This work is original as all the aspects of the reverse logistics are studied from the customer’s satisfaction to the operational and strategic decisions. Moreover it is one of the few papers that deal with the uncollected and undelivered returns and their impact on the structure cost. |
