ETHIQUE ; GESTION DU MARKETING ; MARKETING SOCIALMots-clés candidats : Marketing. Index. décimale : E-book Résumé : I see this book as an important addition to the marketing literature. A weakness in critical approaches to marketing is that they are often not made easily accessible to undergraduate students. Chris Hackley has done a wonderful job in producing a rigorous text that remedies this situation and makes critical perspectives accessible to all". (Professor Rob Lawson, University of Otago). Does marketing really work for organizations, managers and citizens? How can marketing management be studied and practised critically? This key text introduces the essentials of critical thinking within the field of marketing in easy to read and understandable terms. Integrating critical perspectives with the topics of the typical marketing curriculum, Chris Hackley has produced an indispensable supporting text for upper level, undergraduate and postgraduate Marketing courses. A wide range of issues are covered including: historical origins and influences in marketing; introduction to the concepts of Critical Theory; marketing 'orientation' and the marketing 'mix'; critique of marketing principles; marketing and strategy; the role of research in marketing; marketing and managerial ideology; and marketing ethics. Each chapter includes Chapter Review questions, Case studies reflecting issues in the chapters, along with supporting case questions and reflections, as well as stimulating practical examples Nombre d'accès : 2 En ligne : http://www.vlebooks.com/vleweb/product/openreader?id=Neoma&accId=9169105&isbn=97 [...] Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=158415 What every real estate investor needs to know about cash flow... and 36 other key financial measures / Frank GALLINELLI / New York ; : MCGRAW-HILL (2009)

ECONOMIE INTERNATIONALE ; EMPLOI ; POLITIQUE DE L'EMPLOI ; ECONOMIE DU TRAVAIL ; EUROPEIndex. décimale : E-book Résumé : Measures of Active Labor Market Policy - such as training, wage subsidies, public employment measures, and job search assistance - are widely used in European countries to combat unemployment. Little, however, is known about what each country can learn from experiences in other countries. This study provides novel insight on this important policy issue by - discussing the role of the European Commission's Employment Strategy - reviewing the experiences made in European states - and giving the first ever quantitative assessment of the existing cross-country evidence, answering the question "what labor market program works for what target group under what (economic and institutional) circumstances?". Using an innovative meta-analytical approach, the authors find that rather than contextual factors such as labor market institutions or the business cycle, it is almost exclusively the program type that matters for program effectiveness: While direct employment programs in the public sector appear detrimental, wage subsidies and "Services and Sanctions" can be effective in increasing participants' employment probability Nombre d'accès : Illimité En ligne : http://library.ez.neoma-bs.fr/login?url=http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/978-3-540-4855 [...] Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=154528 Advanced Robust and Nonparametric Methods in Efficiency Analysis / Cinzia DARAIO / New York, NY : SPRINGER (2007)

ECONOMIE INTERNATIONALE ; MANAGEMENT ; THEORIE DE LA DECISIONIndex. décimale : E-book Résumé : Providing a systematic and comprehensive treatment of recent developments in efficiency analysis, this readable book makes available an intuitive yet rigorous presentation of advanced nonparametric and robust methods. This flexible toolbox can be used in theories based on the neoclassical theory of production and its alternatives, including evolutionary theories. The methods are complemented by empirical analysis of three different economic fields: scientific research, mutual funds industry and the insurance sector. The research demonstrates the utility of the toolbox for a wide range of economic issues, including the analysis of economies of scale and scope, dynamics of age and agglomeration effects, trade-offs in production and service activities, and explanations of efficiency differentials. Of interest to applied economists broadly, this book will also be of interest to those focused on Operations Research and/or Management Science. "Léopold Simar is a pioneer. For over a decade he and a succession of talented co-authors have been addressing the shortcomings of the increasingly popular field of nonparametric frontier analysis for producer performance evaluation. The shortcomings of nonparametric frontier models include their deterministic and non-statistical nature, their sensitivity to outliers and extreme values, the absence of parameters that would enhance economic interpretation, and the lack of suitable techniques for incorporating exogenous influences on performance. This book, written with Cinzia Daraio, develops theoretical and empirical techniques for dealing with each. The problems are difficult and the analysis is advanced, but Simar and Daraio have delivered on their claim to have written a book that is both rigorous and readable. This original contribution will change the field." -C. A. Knox Lovell Léopold Simar is an established star in the productivity/efficiency field. He is like a fine vintage wine ? a pleasure to drink today. Cinzia Daraio is a rising star. She is like a new wine from an established vineyard ? excellent today, even better tomorrow. Cinzia and Leopold combine forces in this book. The result is a treat to drink, worthy of a feast. It is a sumptuous presentation of new research that embeds the nonparametric approach to efficiency measurement into a statistical framework. Enjoy" -Harold O.
