MANAGEMENT DU RISQUEIndex. décimale : E-book Résumé : Catastrophe Modeling: A New Approach to Managing Risk is the first book that systematically analyzes how catastrophe models can be used for assessing and managing risks of extreme events. It focuses on natural disaster risk, but also discusses the management of terrorism risk. A unique feature of this book is the involvement of three leading catastrophe modeling firms, AIR Worldwide, EQECAT, and Risk Management Solutions, who examine the role of catastrophe modeling in rate setting, portfolio management and risk financing. Using data from three model cities (Oakland, CA, Long Beach, CA and Miami/Dade County, FLA), experts from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania examine the role of catastrophe modeling to develop risk management strategies for reducing and spreading the losses from future disasters. Given the uncertainties associated with terrorism the book points out the opportunities for utilizing catastrophe models to set insurance rates and to examine public-private partnerships for providing financial assistance in the event of a terrorist attack. HAUTE TECHNOLOGIE ; CONSOMMATEUR ; CHAINE LOGISTIQUE ; GESTION DU MARKETINGIndex. décimale : E-book Résumé : The dominant role of Efficient Consumer Response (ECR) practices in the retail industry today has created a strong need for collaboration between business and research communities for the development of robust theoretical frameworks and intelligent technological solutions towards providing direct managerial implications to the retail industry players. To this end, this book aims to highlight the emerging trends, challenges and opportunities in the retail industry, under the perspective of the changing consumer and business behavioural patterns, the reconfiguration of intra- and inter-organizational relationships and the evolving technological capabilities. Elaborating on the core ECR concepts, the book emphasizes the role of consumer behaviour research as the driving force for the configuration of the retail value chain processes. Along these lines, the application of the latest technological inventions to enthuse consumers through accurate targeting along with the identification of the potential of the new technologies, processes and strategies for transforming the supply chain constitute the main pillars of the book. Specifically, the book focuses on the emerging techniques and technologies for supply chain management and collaboration as well as on the emerging relationships and the electronic transformations governing multichannel retailing. It aims at supporting retailers, consumer goods manufacturers and third parties applying the latest technological inventions to transform the value chain. It also attempts to guide practitioners to effectively proceed in employing new technologies to ignite consumer enthusiasm. Similarly, the objective of this book is to help companies target more accurately consumer and shopper wishes with focused investments, in shorter time, and with more success. Finally, the book underlines the great potentials for new technologies and processes from a supply and demand side perspective Nombre d'accès : Illimité En ligne : http://library.ez.neoma-bs.fr/login?url=http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/b138555 Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=154592

MACROECONOMIEIndex. décimale : E-book Résumé : This book offers a novel perspective that allows to incorporate changing consumption and production structure into models of economic growth. Starting from the empirical observation that income and consumption structure are closely related, it develops a tractable theoretical framework which enables to analyze macroeconomic models consistent with these empirical facts. As a result, central macroeconomic phenomena are better understood: the reasons behind long-run growth, structural change, and the influence of inequality on innovations and growth Nombre d'accès : Illimité En ligne : http://library.ez.neoma-bs.fr/login?url=http://link.springer.com/book/10.1007%2F [...] Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=159092

MARCHE FINANCIERIndex. décimale : E-book Résumé : Handling the large orders of institutional participants presents some of the most complex problems for system design. How well are our current systems operating, and how effective are new facilities on the scene? To what extent is market quality impaired for all participants when institutional trading costs are not properly contained? Can institutional order flow be efficiently integrated with the orders of retail customers, or are separate facilities needed? What are the impediments to market structure change, and how might they best be overcome? These are some of the questions addressed, and in so doing, Coping With Institutional Order Flow considers major ways in which to improve the efficiency of our equity markets Nombre d'accès : Illimité En ligne : http://library.ez.neoma-bs.fr/login?url=http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/b136370 Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=154591 PermalinkPermalinkEntrepreneurship policy : theory and practice / Anders LUNDSTROM / New York, NY : SPRINGER (2005)PermalinkThe theory and practice of revenue management / Kalyan T.
